The Makaton Charity has been awarded £250 from leading local housebuilder Taylor Wimpey South Thames as part of its regular donation box scheme.
The Makaton Charity was among three local organisations selected by Taylor Wimpey for its monthly donation box scheme which asks visitors to its Oaklands at Crookham Park development in nearby Church Crookham to vote for their chosen worthy cause to receive a cash donation.
Chloe Butler, Business Development Manager at The Makaton Charity, says: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to Taylor Wimpey and the community at the Oaklands development who voted for Makaton to receive this donation. Generous donations help us to continue supporting Makaton users alongside their family and friends. It’s lovely to know that the local community chose us, and that awareness about communication difficulties is being raised.”
Susan Joseph, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Thames, says: “We’re privileged to announce The Makaton Charity as our latest Oaklands donation box winners and delighted to donate £250 to this fantastic organisation.
“We’re committed to supporting the communities in which we build our new homes and wish everybody involved with Makaton all the best for the future.”
