Watching your favourite sports

Designed to support a range of Makaton users to encourage their interest in sport and build their confidence in talking about sports they like and enjoy watching on TV. It has three activities:

1. Using Makaton symbols and signs to identify and talk about a range of sports often watched on television.
2. Using Makaton symbols and signs to identify how you feel when watching sporting activities and then identify which sports you like.
3. Create a Makaton symbol timetable so you know when your favourite sporting activities are on television.

Each activity is accompanied by a page of relevant symbols and signs, it also includes helpful suggestions and additional ways for Makaton users to be able to understand and communicate about their favourite sports.

Contains twenty of the most popular symbols for sports on TV, thirty timetable and other useful symbols, twenty essential signs to support timetable use, five great games to play, three styles of symbol timetable to make, and useful sentences to start conversations about sports.
