Please, can you help The Makaton Charity to help Makaton users throughout the UK and overseas?
In a typical year , 66% of our total costs are spent on providing direct charitable services (training, resources, advice and translation), 24% on developing new resources, and only 10% on administration and managing the charity.
All our activities have been self-financing, but this does not provide money for new initiatives. So there is a continuing struggle to meet the ever rising demand for new products and services. If you would like to help Makaton help more people in more ways, we would be very happy to hear from you.

Regular donations
Every donation, however small, is very welcome, but if you are able to make a regular monthly, quarterly or annual donation this would help us even more in being able to plan our developments knowing that the income will be there to support them. You can see from the above figures that 90p out of every pound you give, goes directly to the benefit of Makaton users.

Gift aid
If you are able to make a donation under gift aid, then we will be able to reclaim 28p for every £1 given from HM Inspector of Taxes and so your gift will go even further! Indeed if you are a higher rate tax-payer, you too can claim higher rate tax relief on the donation - just keep a copy of the pledge form and enter the details on your tax return.

Leaving a legacy
If you include us in your will, whatever the value of the bequest, you will enable us to help Makaton users who otherwise we would not have the resources to support.
