Makaton training for parents and carers, has been specifically designed for parents and family members.

If you go on this training, you will meet other parents and carers of Makaton users. So you will be able to share ideas and experiences, and support each other.

However, if you are interested in the theory and research behind Makaton then you may prefer to go on the Makaton training for professionals, which is primarily aimed at professionals, such as speech and language therapists.
