Wonderful, colourful, and interesting
Even though Makenzie Shilling, 20 months, does not have learning difficulties, she still benefits from using Makaton.
Her mother, Linda Shilling, explains:
"Watching Something Special and learning signs has helped Makenzie develop her language skills and her general understanding of the world around her. It has also helped her communicate with children that do have difficulties.
"This in turn will help her integrate with all children and raise her awareness of the fact that we are not all the same, but we all want the same things from life: to be happy.
"Hopefully she will carry this with her into adulthood and perhaps pass it onto her own children.
"I would like to applaud The MVDP (and Mr Tumble) for bringing us such a wonderful, colourful, and interesting way to learn."
