The Makaton Charity is looking for an experienced Executive Administrator to join our small and friendly team based at the Charity’s busy offices in central Farnborough, Hampshire.
Charity/not for profit experience is vital particularly in supporting senior management and the Board of Trustees
This is a very varied role requiring a flexible, proactive and “can do” attitude. Strong time management skills are a must as is the ability to multi task without losing focus on key priorities.
As this is a small and busy office you will need to be a real team player, but also tactful, discreet and able to handle confidential information appropriately.
You will possess excellent administration skills including good attention to detail, a logical and consistent approach to following and developing processes, filing documents (paper and electronic) and data management.
You will have experience of planning and co-ordinating arrangements for Board and committee meetings as well as preparation and circulation of papers, taking and writing up minutes, organising venues, catering and logistics.
Proficiency in Outlook and managing multiple diaries, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with a diverse range of people including parents on the phone, suppliers, the auditors, tutors, colleagues, external partners (e.g. the CBeebies production team), the senior management team and trustees.

Salary band £27,000-£30,000
Full time, 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. Some evenings and weekends. 25 days holiday per annum
