Signing while speaking has been shown to encourage the development of communication and language skills. It can help reduce frustrations and help you to understand your baby's needs and wants.

The vocabulary in the book was selected following consultation with a range of Makaton Tutors as well as parents and those working with babies and young children. It also provides approximately 30 additional concepts in symbol and sign that parents of young children often request.
