Makaton training is often designed and developed by The Makaton Charity specifically around the needs of particular groups, for example:

transport personnel
religious groups
professionals, workers and volunteers in tourism and visitor attractions
leisure workers
professionals (for example social workers and child protection teams) requiring training in the use of Makaton in protection and abuse
