Symbols making sense

A complete reading scheme developed and written for pupils who require specialist help with learning to read. The scheme consists of a comprehensive teaching manual, ten introductory books, and story books at levels 1, 2, 3 and 4.

There is also a set of six curriculum link books, Finding Out, which focus on the use of question words and highlight key words.

The books include over 200 photocopiable tasks, of varying degrees of difficulty. The Christmas Story and others are also available. All text is supported by Makaton symbols.
