Codes of practice for social care workers

The General Social Care Council (GSCC) oversees the registration of all Social Care Workers in the UK. The GSCC Codes of Practice are available in various accessible formats including Braille and Makaton. For the Makaton version, there are two books, one of symbols and the other of signs, for ease of use. These books include information on the rules for Social Care Workers and Managers. They explain the rules and give guidance on who to contact and how to carry out the procedure when the client is dissatisfied.
