Recognising that not all parents or carers of young children are able to attend Makaton Workshops, these distance learning materials are designed to enable parents and carers to learn in the comfort of their own home through a series of flexible sessions with each pack taking six to ten hours to complete. There are opportunities for self-assessment and numerous suggested activities so that learners can check their own progress.

The distance learning materials are available both as complete packs (offering a large discount) and as individual items. Pack 1 covers stages 1 & 2, and some of the additional stage, of the core vocabulary. Pack 2 covers stages 3 to 5 and the rest of the additional stage.
